SeatGeek integrates with Snapchat for ticket memories

SeatGeek has launched a Snapchat integration developed with Snap Kit to help “solve today’s lack of physical ticket memories.”

From within the SeatGeek app, ticket holders will be able to easily launch the Snapchat app where they’ll find a digital ticket that that they can layer over a Snap to send to friends, or save as a photo or video to remember the actual event.

It allows fans to record an actual memory from the event, and to re-watch it again and again.

Sixty three-per-cent of SeatGeek’s sales this year have taken place on mobile devices, with around 60 per cent of people using their phones to scan into events (as opposed to paper tickets or printed out PDFs).

SeatGeek has continued to focus on improving its event-day fan experience in other areas, for example when a fan taps on their ticket in SeatGeek they don’t just see the barcode, they also see a weather forecast powered by Dark Sky, transit directions to the venue from Apple and Google Maps, and a direct link to request a Lyft ride to the event.

A SeatGeek spokesperson said: “We continue to develop around the day of event experience because there are so many ways that we can better serve the fan, these are just the first examples.”
