TicketCo partners with London’s historic Tobacco Dock venue

TicketCo, an event payments and ticketing platform, has partnered with the London multi-purpose event venue Tobacco Dock, a grade-one listed building.

Those looking to attend an event at the venue can now purchase tickets and make event payments using the TicketCo technology.

TicketCo, a payment platform that entered the UK market from Norway last year, allows customers to buy tickets, as well as providing venues with a platform to promote offers on food, drink and merchandise.

TicketCo opened a London office in March, announcing plans to disrupt and simplify event ticketing and payments in the UK. Its clients now include Tobacco Dock and Junkyard Golf Club, an indoor golf course with venues in London and Manchester.

“It’s a great step forward for TicketCo in the UK to be affiliated with such a massive player,” said TicketCo UK country manager, David Kenny. “We are very confident that the organisers Tobacco Dock attract will see the upside of utilising our future-proof ticketing and payments solution.”

TicketCo provides its customers with a single QR code that serves as the only ticket needed for any event attended through the platform. The firm says that this unified approach is especially compatible with Tobacco Dock, a venue which hosts over 190 events annually across more than 50 event spaces.

The commercial director of Tobacco Dock, Jonathan Read, said: “We’re very much looking forward to working with TicketCo. Their entrepreneurial and innovative outlook mirrors our own, making them the perfect fit for Tobacco Dock and its clients.”
