TEG MJR, a live entertainment promoter which tours acts in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Australia, has expanded into Ireland with the formation of a new live event promotions company.
TEG MJR ÉIRE, in collaboration with MPI Artists, which is an agency representing a host of Ireland’s most established international and homegrown acts, will be directed by Julian O’Brien and Martin Nolan of MPI Artists. The firm will work together with TEG MJR to deliver a programme of live entertainment experiences to fans across Ireland.
Richard Buck, chief executive of TEG MJR, said: “This new promotions company makes sense from so many angles and the winners will be Irish music fans and artists. My team of concert promoters works with a diverse and dynamic roster of artists across multiple territories and we look forward to bringing a plethora of great events across Éire in the years ahead.”
TEG MJR, which is owned by global integrated live entertainment, ticketing and technology business TEG, is an international events promoter and venue operator based in Bristol, UK. It promotes over 2,000 events a year including concerts by artists such as Sia, 50 Cent, Culture Club, and Hans Zimmer, along with experiential attractions including Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. and The Brickman LEGO exhibition.
It owns and operates multiple venues in the UK including Tramshed in Cardiff and The Mill in Birmingham and owns the leading club night brand, Propaganda.
Martin Nolan, director of TEG MJR ÉIRE, said: “We are excited about working with TEG MJR and the domestic and international opportunities that we hope to offer Irish artists through the TEG MJR global platform.”
A series of TEG MJR ÉIRE events will be announced in the coming weeks.
TEG acquired UK-based event promoter and venue operator The MJR Group in August 2019. In June this year, TEG said it was looking to invest in UK venues shuttered by COVID-19 as it rolled on with its ambitions in the European market.
