Theatre production firm DLAP Group unveils new concerts arm

Theatre production company DLAP Entertainment has launched a new live events and concerts company, Fourth Wall Live.

The move is part of a wider expansion plan for the newly rebranded DLAP Group, which is predominantly known as a UK and international touring theatre company.

The new live events firm has been formed through a partnership with concert producer, Darren Bell, who joins from Club 11.

In 2019, Fourth Wall produced a season of concerts at London’s Hippodrome Casino and has plans for a programme of live events for 2021.

Dan Looney, joint chief executive of Fourth Wall Live, said in a statement: “As we continue to explore and produce many more theatre productions, we are particularly excited to be broadening our operations into many other areas of the entertainment world, forging a portfolio of nine subsidiary companies including a thrilling collaborating with Darren Bell (formerly of Club 11) and our new rights and development incubator, Creative Rights International.”

As part of the expansion, the firm has also created a rights acquisition division, Creative Rights International, which is backed by venture capital firm Station12. It will build a portfolio of theatre, film and television IP projects from 2022.

The company has also most recently formed Ace Pantomimes with seasoned pantomime producers, Immersion Theatre.

DLAP’s other subsidiaries include production, management and accountancy companies, as well as an organisation focusing on ticketing and pantomime.

The award-winning production company has had West End credits including, Company at the Gielgud Theatre, which won four Olivier awards, as well as the UK premiere of Curtains, starring Jason Manford at the Wyndham’s Theatre, among others.
