Legends invests in Professional Fighters League

Legends, the premium experiences company, has invested in a minority equity position in the Professional Fighters League (PFL).

Legends, which provides experiences and holistic solutions for sports and entertainment venues, will also assist in developing the North America-based mixed martial arts (MMA) organisation’s services, including ticketing, sponsorship sales, global planning and hospitality services.

Donn Davis, PFL chairman and founder, said: “Legends is an industrial-strength partner in areas that can turbo-charge the PFL business. The Legends business partnership and equity investment will accelerate PFL momentum and growth as we further build our audience and business upon our standing as. The No.2 MMA [mixed martial arts] company worldwide.”

The partnership announcement comes just days before the start of the PFL Playoffs, which will be held at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Florida.

Shervin Mirhashemi, Legends president and chief executive officer, said: “The leadership team at PFL has created a unique and burgeoning MMA league that is well-positioned for expansion in the years ahead. We are excited to build upon PFL’s momentum and deliver innovative and impactful solutions that will drive business and further accelerate growth.”
