Travis Scott to refund Astroworld ticket holders following tragedy

Artist Travis Scott (pictured) is reportedly set to refund ticket holders for his Astroworld festival, which has been marred by the death of eight attendees following a crowd surge.

According to Variety, the rapper will provide full refunds for those that bought tickets to Astroworld, which took place at Houston’s NRG Park.

Eight attendees died following a crowd surge during Scott’s set, with their ages ranging from 14 to 27. Hundreds of other ticket holders were also injured during the crush.

Entertainment company and festival promoter Live Nation and Scott have been hit with multiple lawsuits following the Astroworld tragedy.

Scott has also pledged to cover the costs of the funerals of the eight that died at Astroworld, and artist Roddy Rich, who performed at the festival before Scott came on stage, also donated his fee from the event to the families of those that had died.

The city of Houston released the names of those that died at the festival: Mirza Baig, Rodolfo Peña, Madison Dubiski, Franco Patino, Jacob Jurinke, John Hilgert, Axel Acosta Avila and Brianna Rodriguez.

Scott has also pulled out of the upcoming Day N Vegas Festival, which is taking place this weekend at Las Vegas Festival Ground. Scott was set to headline on Saturday night.
