FAW releases Wales Women tickets following record crowd

After a record crowd of 12,741 watched the Wales women’s team reach the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup play-offs for the first time, the Football Association of Wales (FAW) has released ticketing information for the play-off first round match.

Wales will face Bosnia and Herzegovina at Cardiff City Stadium (pictured) on October 6.

Tickets went on sale yesterday (Monday) with adults costing just £8 (€9.22/$9.37) and juniors costing £4. Red Wall members will be able to purchase tickets at a discounted rate of £6 for adults and £2 for juniors and these tickets will be available until September 26.

There are also discounted group booking rates available for clubs, schools and any groups with more than 10 people. Discounted rates also come to £6 for adults and £2 for juniors, with group booking forms needing to be submitted via post or email by September 29.

Should Wales progress to the second round of the play-offs, the side will face Switzerland away on October 11.

Wales drew 0-0 against Slovenia at Cardiff City Stadium last week, which attracted the record crowd. The draw means Wales can continue to push to reach its first major women’s tournament, the 2023 FIFA World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

The record attendance is more than double the country’s previous record for a home game, which amounted to 5,455 last October. It is also substantially more than the attendance at Wales’ first match in this campaign, which drew around 1,700 fans.
