The second phase of Paris 2024 ticket sales began yesterday (Thursday) with successful applicants contacted earlier in the week to buy tickets within their 48-hour window.

It is expected that some 1.5 million tickets will be sold, with over four million people registered for the draw for this phase.

Olympics fans will be able to purchase tickets for the ‘highlights’ of the Games for the first time, including the 100m finals in athletics at the Stade de France, swimming finals at La Défense Arena and more.

A maximum of six tickets can be purchased per session, though in some cases there is a limit of four tickets.

Some 3.25 million tickets were snapped up during the first phase and a third sales phase is scheduled for later in the year.

On Location, the official and exclusive hospitality provider for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, has also revealed its hospitality and travel packages for the Opening Ceremony of Paris 2024.

The Opening Ceremony is set to take place on and along the River Seine in Paris in an Olympic first, with On Location’s packages reflecting the unique nature of the event.

Fans will have the option of purchasing gold or silver Riverside packages, with reserved seating along the banks of the Seine with a view of the opening ceremony. There will also be the Bridge 360 package, where guests will be welcomed to an open-air brasserie to enjoy the cuisine and panoramic views of the ceremony. Further options include Clubhouse 24, on-site hospitality and travel packages.

Paul Caine, president of On Location and IMG Events, said: “We are thrilled to offer our guests an unparalleled hospitality experience at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony. Our official packages provide exclusive access to premium seating, exceptional cuisine, and unforgettable entertainment, making this a once-in-a-lifetime event for sports fans and enthusiasts. We look forward to welcoming our guests to the world’s greatest celebration of athletic excellence and international unity.”
