Sir Paul McCartney is set to tour Australia in October and November, marking the first time he has toured the country in six years.

McCartney said in a video on social media: “Hi there. Listen, I’ve got some good news for you. We’ll be coming back on the road. Getting out with the band and playing places, some of which, we’ve never played before. So we’re really excited. We’re coming back. We got back.”

The iconic artist’s six-date tour of Australia will be produced by Frontier Touring, which is part of the Mushroom Group. The Melbourne-based company helped to secure McCartney’s previous tour in 2017.

McCartney and his band will perform at Adelaide Entertainment Centre on October 18, Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on October 21, Sydney’s Allianz Stadium on October 27 and Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium on November 1.

In a win for regional venues, McCartney is also set to perform at McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle, New South Wales on October 24 and Heritage Bank Stadium, Gold Coast, on November 4.

Frontier members will have access to a pre-sale for tickets on August 9, with tickets then going on general sale through Frontier Touring on August 11.
