Ticket-holders for the UK dates of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour have been informed that the 'lead booker' will no longer have to attend shows.

Swift is set to play in major cities across the UK and Ireland including Liverpool, Manchester, London, Cardiff and Edinburgh, as well as Dublin.

Originally, shows were a ‘lead booker’ event, meaning the account-holder that purchased the tickets through the platform must attend the event in person.

Ticketmaster emailed ticket-holders explaining the U-turn over ‘lead booker’ regulations.

The email read: “The ‘lead booker’ policy has been removed, meaning that the person whose name is on the Ticketmaster account used to purchase tickets is no longer required to attend the event.

“All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.”

Swift’s European tour will begin with four shows at Paris La Défense Arena in the French capital from May 9. Further shows will take place in Stockholm, Lisbon, Madrid and Lyon, before all UK and Ireland dates, followed by Amsterdam, Zurich, Milan, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Munich, Warsaw, Vienna.

The European leg of the tour will then end with a further five shows at London’s Wembley Stadium.

All European shows are scheduled to have US rock band Paramore in support.
