People on the move: Logitix, Music Venue Trust and more…

We round up the latest movements from the ticketing sector and associated industries…

Logitix, a provider of live event ticketing technology and analytics, has named Michael Ramirez (pictured left) as vice-president of business operations. 

Ramirez was previously head of worldwide sales strategy and operations for Microsoft workloads with Amazon Web Services (AWS). 

“As our operation at Logitix continues to expand, we are recruiting talented leaders from in and out of our direct industries,” said Logitix chief executive Stu Halberg. “Michael enters the live event industry as one of the most respected leaders in business operations for technology giants. He will play an important role in helping our team sell more tickets in more places while optimising ticketing revenue for our diverse portfolio of clients.”

QuintEvents, a provider of official ticket, hospitality and travel experiences for sports and entertainment events, has appointed Francisco Lettieri as director of promoter relations in Europe and Middle East for F1 Experiences. 

Lettieri will manage Quint’s relationship with F1 promoters, as well as the development and facilitation for F1 Experiences events. 

Michael Chugg has been has been appointed to the Music Australia Council, which was established under the Creative Australia Act 2023. The council will aid Music Australia in supporting the country’s music sector. 

PlayOn! Sports, a high school media and technology company that works with its NFHS Network, GoFan, rSchoolToday, and VNN to provide streaming, digital ticketing, scheduling and sports marketing, has added two new members to its board of directors. 

Michael Paull, former president of direct to consumer at Disney Entertainment and Heather Friedland, chief product officer at Ancestry, have joined the board. 

Paull haș more than 20 years of experience in product development, technology, media and content distribution. In his role with Disney Entertainment, Paull oversaw Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and Star+ globally. 

Friedland has more than two decades of experience in product management, and has previously been the chief product officer and senior vice-president at Glassdoor. 

Elsewhere, the Music Venue Trust (MVT) has revealed details of a restructured Venue Support Team. The charity, which represents over 900 UK grassroots music venues, has appointed Oliver Melling (pictured right) as Scotland coordinator and Aled Owens will oversee the service for venues in Wales. 

Melling and Owens have joined England coordinators Jay Taylor and Sophie Asquith, and venue support manager Clara Cullen in the newly extended team.
