K-pop giants Seventeen have announced an extension of their Follow tour with new dates across three Asian countries.
The Pledis Entertainment-promoted band’s tour began with two shows at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, South Korea in July. A series of dates in Japan run through until mid-December.
Now it has been announced they will also play the 51,000-capacity Rajamangala National Stadium in Thailand’s capital city, Bangkok, on December 23. The tour then switches to The Philippines in the new year and a date at Bulacan’s 20,000-capacity Philippine Sports Stadium on January 13. The schedule completes with two dates at Macao’s 16,000-capacity Olympic Sports Centre Stadium on January 20 and 21.
Seventeen attracted more than 130,000 fans to their two gigs in Seoul in the summer. They played two shows at the 55,000-capacity Tokyo Dome in early September, but don’t return to the stage again until late November. The band will then appear in 10 shows in the Japanese cities of Saitama, Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka.
Seventeen has sold more than 25 million copies of their albums, becoming just the second Korean act to achieve that milestone.
