Lana Del Rey has donated money from ticket sales off the back of her most recent tour to cities she has performed in.

The US singer embarked on the headlining concert tour between May and October this year, to support her latest album ‘Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd’.

At the singer’s final performance of the tour in Charleston, West Virginia on October 5, Del Rey told her audience that she had donated the money earned from ticket sales back to the host cities.

The singer said: “I just wanted to say thank you to you and just every city I’ve gone to before this…every ticket, every dollar, it is poured right back into the city.

“It’s not about that [the money] for me. I know that sounds cheesy, but I tour because I love it…I don’t need to. I just love it, and we’re all about the places we’ve been to.”

Del Rey kicked off her string of performances at MITA Festival in São Paulo, Brazil, before performing at Glastonbury and BST Hyde Park in the UK, and L’Olympia in Paris. She then returned to the US and Mexico.
