More than 30,000 tickets sold for CONCACAF W Gold Cup Final

The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) has stated that more than 30,000 tickets were sold for its W Gold Cup final.

The match saw the United States beat Brazil 1-0 at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego yesterday (Sunday) to take the inaugural title.

The overall attendance at the game was reported to be 31,528, with the crowd witnessing Lindsey Horan’s headed goal just before half-time to ultimately give the home side victory.

Before kick-off, fans were invited to arrive early and explore the official fan zone.

It featured appearances from former players, the tournament trophy, giveaways, and interactive games at its Victory Drive site located on the east side of the stadium.

Fans were also entertained by a live performance of the W Gold Cup’s official anthem “Vamos” by artists Sofía Castro, Fiamma, Alexis Gomez, and Pitizion.

The final was broadcast by CONCACAF’s TV partner networks including English language in CBS Paramount+ in the USA, and Spanish for the USA, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America.

In addition to the main trophy, the Americans also won the fair play trophy for having the best disciplinary record in the competition.

America’s Jaedyn Shaw took the golden ball award for the best player while her compatriot Alyssa Naeher won the golden glove for her performances in goal.

Canada’s Adriana Leon won the golden boot with a leading six goals and her teammate Olivia Smith claimed the young player award.
