Milton Keynes Dons has entered into a multi-year partnership with Ticketmaster starting next season in a collaboration that will see the latter provide ticket services for the football club.

The new system will take over operations at Stadium MK events via the club’s websites as well as direct from the box office.

It is set to come into effect for season ticket renewals and purchases for next season, which could see the team playing in League One as they are in the hunt for promotion in the division below.

“Everyone in sport and entertainment is familiar with Ticketmaster and their world-leading system, and for good reason,” said MK Dons chairman Pete Winkelman.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with one of the biggest names in events to bring the best possible ticketing system to Stadium MK.”

“I’m incredibly excited for the future of this partnership including the advancements in digital ticketing it can bring for MK Dons supporters.”

The club claims that the contract with Ticketmaster provides an opportunity for the Stadium MK box office “to provide the smoothest possible purchasing experience for supporters.”

MK Dons currently sit fourth in League Two with 64 points, five fewer than Mansfield Town in pole position.

“As the sports world continues to move towards digital ticketing as the norm, we’re pleased that our technology will, among many other advancements, enable MK Dons to improve their fans’ experience on match days,” said Ticketmaster Sport managing director Chris Gratton.

MK Dons‘ Group finance director Ryan Gawley believes that “the system is incredibly intuitive, making us confident both staff and supporters will find the ticketing experience easier than ever before.”
