Insurance giant Circles Group has launched a ticketing division that will offer a simplified one-click refund service to organisers forced to cancel events.
The Luxembourg-based online broker, which is active across four continents, has introduced a specialist insurance plan that pays clients’ claims automatically within 48 hours.
Circles said that customers of a ticket agency with its cover will receive the option to buy insurance when purchasing their tickets. The ticket holder is then supplied with a QR code that allows them to access Circles’ cancellation interface directly, meaning there is no need for them to contact organisers.
The launch comes after a series of events in Europe and North America were forced to cancel due to extreme weather over the summer, with FKP Scorpio’s Hurricane and Southside and German music festival Rock am Ring among those affected.
“We offer an API hub designed to be flexible and easy to integrate, we pay claims automatically,” the company said in a statement.
“We always simplify the underwriting process and we bring innovative solutions.”
