Eventbrite seeks charity boost through JustGiving link-up

Eventbrite is hoping to help event organisers in their efforts to raise money for good causes through a new product integration with JustGiving, the world’s biggest social platform for giving.

Eventbrite, which powers two million events around the globe each year, will now enable organisers to allow their fundraisers to begin raising money for their cause with a single click.

Anyone buying a ticket for a charity event on Eventbrite can now set up their own JustGiving fundraising page as part of the same registration process, and the event organiser hopes the streamlining of the service will aid good causes.

“We’re delighted to be working with the team at JustGiving and are pleased to announce this fundraising integration with Eventbrite’s technology platform,” said Joel Crouch, Eventbrite’s general manager in the UK and Ireland. “We’re looking forward to helping organisers make the most of our platform, and making it even easier for fundraisers to boost the money donated to good causes.”

Eventbrite, which processed over 100 million tickets in 180 countries in 2015, said charities can also set how every fundraising page will look and therefore make it as easy as possible for registrants to raise money for a cause quickly and effectively.

Jamie Parkins, senior product manager at JustGiving, added: “This integration with Eventbrite combines JustGiving’s dedication to using the power of technology for good with helping charities reach more people to raise even more. We’re delighted to launch this to the events marketplace."
