MoviePass’ chief product officer has decided to leave the firm as it continues to struggle to rebuild financially and keep hold of its subscribers.
Mike Berkley, who had spent time working at a variety of companies such as Spotify, Viacom and Comcast, has parted ways with the cinema subscription firm.
The executive was originally hired to help boost the customer experience for MoviePass users and develop its product strategies.
Berkley previously called the firm “one of the most exciting companies to come out of the entertainment industry in the past few years.” He went on to say that MoviePass would bring “a renaissance for theatrical movies.”
The ex-chief product officer did not reveal why he left the company, but confirmed that he had exited.
Last month, MoviePass executive Carl Schramm resigned from the board of directors at parent company Helios and Matheson, citing corporate management concerns.
