Vendini continues to expand portfolio

Event management firm Vendini has acquired Canadian ticketing provider Boxxo as the company continues to grow its team.

Boxxo has been working with arts organisations in Quebec for more than 15 years, helping them to sell tickets. Currently the firm serves theatres and cultural, sports and leisure organisations across Canadian province.

The move gives Vendini an expanded customer base, as well as a more prominent presence on the international market.

“Today we’re welcoming a team of people who share the same passion for live events as we do,” said Mark Tacchi, Vendini’s founder and chief executive. “Boxxo brings tremendous love and experience needed for the French Canadian market. Together, Boxxo and Vendini are honoured to now be the largest ticketing solution serving Quebec.”

Vendini has made several strategic acquisitions over the last several years, including InTicketing, CrowdTorch, and Dataflow. Each of these acquisitions have reportedly helped Vendini increase market share and add capabilities that have allowed it to deliver the white-label ticketing solution to the broader live events market.

“Vendini has had a strong presence in Canada for many years, and we were looking for a partner in the market that would help us more quickly address our customers’ interest in moving to a cloud environment,” said Boxxo founder and president, Bernard Boissonneault. “The opportunity to deliver a key customer need and extend our market across Canada, with a like-minded company like Vendini was our ideal solution.”

Boxxo team members will join Vendini and continue to serve its current customers.

Vendini last week announced a new brand engagement platform to give venues the ability to manage live events while maintaining control of the customer brand experience.
