Stade Français signs Pledg for group payments

French professional rugby team Stade Français has partnered with Pledg, an instant split payment solution for group purchases, to simplify purchasing several tickets at once.

Under the agreement, rugby union fans will be able to share the payment of their tickets immediately when buying online.

The integration with Pledg will see a ‘pay with many’ button on the payment page of the rugby club’s box office.

The buyer will provide each payee’s email address and then proceed to pay their portion of the price.

“We are proud to be the first in rugby to opt for multiple pay. Our goal is to increase the fill rate of our stadium, we are confident that Pledg will help us quickly. For example, our fans can use this feature to cheer on Stade Français Paris against Montpellier on October 27,” said Soizic Pébereau, development director of Stade Français Paris, according to Magestion Billetterie.

Agnès Chaba, Pledg’s commercial and marketing director in France, said: “We are very happy to have signed with the Stade Français Paris. We confirm our breakthrough in sports with players who see our solution as an excellent tool for acquiring new customers.

“We are indeed the only ones on the payment market to offer a better shopping experience to several and allow merchants to know all the participants of a purchase.”
