Forum Melbourne claims it will become the first Australian venue to switch to a fully digital ticketing service through its partnership with Ticketmaster
Owned by Marriner Group, a leading operator of music and theatre arenas in the country, the 2,000-capacity live music venue will roll out digital tickets for the first time for shows by Maribou State, James Blake and Tycho.
The launch follows a successful trial of digital tickets for the Harry Potter And The Cursed Child theatre shows at Marriner Group’s Princess Theatre in Melbourne.
Kayely Marriner, director of Marriner Group, said: “We’ve been utilising digital solutions with Ticketmaster this year at the Princess Theatre. The platform is extremely user-friendly and convenient and as such, we’ve decided to go fully digital at Forum Melbourne and look forward to the system giving our patrons an easy way to manage their tickets right from their mobile.”
Forum Melbourne has welcomed artists such as Oasis, Madonna and Tame Impala, and in more recent times has been used as a venue for numerous acts during the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
