Brighton launches season ticket sharing scheme

English Premier League football club Brighton and Hove Albion has launched a new scheme allowing season ticket holders to share their seat with family and friends throughout the 2021-22 season.

The new scheme will be available to fans enrolled in the club’s MyAlbion+ scheme and will require a one-off upgrade fee of £20.

Season-ticket holders can log in to their account and forward their seat for a home game to a MyAlbion+ member that has upgraded. This will deactivate the season ticket on their mobile device and forward a new ticket to the registered member by email with a link to download the ticket.

The system will only operate when full crowds return to the Amex Stadium and will not be available if a ballot system is in running for a match.

Tickets will only be passed on within the original age band, though adult season ticket holders can share their seat with members in any age group.

“We recognise that in these uncertain times supporters need more flexibility than ever, therefore for the 2021-22 season we are enabling season ticket holders to share their season ticket with a MyAlbion+ member for a one-off upgrade fee of £20,” Brighton said in a statement.

The scheme will launch on 16 August, ahead of Brighton’s first Premier League home game of the new season against Watford on 21 August.
