Events, live entertainment and ticketing company CTS Eventim has informed retail company Fnac Darty that it will exercise its call option to acquire a further 17% of France Billet’s share capital.

Following the move, Eventim’s stake in France Billet will have increased from 48% to 65%.

Eventim took over 48% of the shares in France Billet at the end of 2019.

France Billet will be fully consolidated for the first time following the completion of the transaction, which is subject to the necessary approval of the competition authorities. The French multinational Fnac Darty expects this to happen in a few months.

Fnac Darty will continue to hold a 35% stake in France Billet after four years of operations, the introduction of new technologies and obtaining Supporter status for the ticketing services of Paris 2024.

While positioning itself as a key minority shareholder, Fnac Darty will continue to support the ticketing business in France through its stores and the Fnac Spectacles brand.
