Colombia’s Medellín-headquartered Breakfast Club and Bogotá production company TBL Live are set to merge to strengthen live entertainment in the country.

Together, the company will operate under the moniker Breakfast Live.

Breakfast Club and TBL Live will continue to operate with their other businesses elsewhere, but will work together on event promotion. Breakfast Club has additional investments in hotels, restaurants, bars and nightclubs.

The merger is set to create more than 5,000 jobs directly and indirectly in the capital city of Bogotá, and Medellín, with more than 60 events to take place annually.

A statement on LinkedIn read: “We are Breakfast Club and TBL Live, and from today our dreams will ring louder. Today, our paths cross to reach new horizons. Music and entertainment will take us all over Colombia and the world.

“We cease to be two companies, and we become a platform of tireless creators, eternal visionaries and creators of dreams that we will bring to reality, with the same love with which they were imagined.

“We come together to merge our vision and expertise in creating unforgettable moments and creating endless memories for everyone.

“We are Breakfast Live, and we are here to host the best stories, moving fibres through music and culture.”

In January, it was revealed that a new event from Belgian festival giant Tomorrowland is set to take place in Medellín in May. The festival has been produced in collaboration with Breakfast Club, and is expected to welcome more than 20,000 visitors.
