Tickets for next year’s Winter Youth Olympic Games in Gangwon have been made available, with fans able to witness future sporting stars while also exploring the host country South Korea.

Tickets will be free of charge for all events, except for the Opening Ceremony in Gangneung.

The Youth Olympic Games are set to take place from January 19 to February 1, with the Opening Ceremony taking place simultaneously at Gangneung Oval and PyeongChang Dome.

Rising K-Pop stars are expected to perform during the event, with the full ceremony line-up to be unveiled closer to the time.

Those looking to experience the Opening Ceremony in Gangneung will be able to purchase tickets priced between KRW 30,000 (£19/$23/€21) and KRW 100,000, while access to the PyeongChang Dome will be free. However, guests are still required to request a ticket via the online platform or at the box office on the day of the event.

Benefitting from the legacy of the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018, the Games will take place across four locations: Gangneung for ice sports, PyeongChang for Nordic and sliding disciplines, Jeongseon for Alpine skiing and dual moguls and Hoengseong for remaining freestyle skiing and snowboard events.

Attendees will be able to engage in various activations from ice hockey, skating and curling sessions, as well as biathlon, skiing and ski-jumping experiences. Additionally, guests can enjoy photo sessions, face painting, crafts and immersive VR (virtual reality) experiences.

While access is free for sporting events across the four locations, tickets should be secured online through the official Gangwon 2024 ticketing website.
