Coldplay have announced additional Australia and New Zealand dates for next year, as part of the British band’s Music Of The Spheres World Tour.
Two dates are set for October 30 and 31 at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium, followed by two dates at Sydney’s Accor Stadium on November 6 and 7. The band will then travel to New Zealand to perform at Auckland’s Eden Park on November 13.
General ticket sales will begin on December 1, via the band’s website. Fans can register for access to pre-sale tickets, which will go live on November 29. Coldplay are also set to make a limited number of Infinity Tickets available at a later date, with a price tag of A$32/NZ$32 (£17/€19/$21) each. These tickets will be restricted to a maximum of two tickets per purchaser and must be bought in pairs.
The announcement follows Coldplay’s sold-out performances in Perth over the weekend.
“Coldplay is one of the world’s most iconic and influential bands and we’re delighted they will be performing at Eden Park,” said Eden Park chief executive, Nick Sautner.
“This is a huge coup for Auckland and New Zealand. Coldplay’s global status, the band’s commitment to sustainability, and their ability to deliver unforgettable performances make them the perfect fit to perform at New Zealand’s National Stadium.”
Last week, the Jakarta Police reportedly began an investigation into ticket fraud after a number of fans were unable to enter Coldplay’s gig at Bung Karno Sports Stadium in the Indonesian capital. Complaints centred around not receiving tickets from resellers, or that they had sent them fake passes.
It was the first time Coldplay had played in Jakarta.
