German athletics puts focus on tech with CTS Eventim

CTS Eventim’s Eventim Sports unit has become the official ticketing partner of DLV, the German athletics association.

Under the deal, tickets to German championships and other DLV events will be available exclusively through the new DLV ticket shop, eventim.de and all CTS EVENTIM advance booking offices. Ticketing will be powered by the Eventim.Tixx service.

DLV said it wants to expand digital ticketing through the new partnership as well as simplify the ordering process and integrate a new CRM system.

“We want to put the interests of the fans and the holistic stadium experience even more in the foreground and are very happy that such an experienced and strong partner is supporting us on this path,” said Sven Schröder, DLV’s director of events.

“At this point we would like to thank our previous ticketing partner Ticketmaster for their long-standing and trusting cooperation.”

The deal gets under way this week with the on-sale for next year’s German Indoor Championships. The tickets for the German Championships in Braunschweig in June will also soon be available in the DLV ticket shop.
