Live Nation’s LN-Gaiety Holdings joint venture has acquired a controlling stake in the Dreamland amusement park and music venue in Margate, Kent.

A filing on Companies House from Dreamland’s operator Sands Heritage on December 14 shows LN-Gaiety Holdings as having ‘significant control’.

LN-Gaiety confirmed the acquisition in a statement to outlet The Isle of Thanet News: “LN-Gaiety confirms it has acquired Dreamland in Margate. Working with CEO Eddie Kemsley, the team will enhance its offer at this much-loved resort.

“Dreamland is the ultimate seaside destination for music, rides, and entertainment with great artists in 2024 including Status Quo, Madness, Richard Ashcroft, Becky Hill, Limp Bizkit, Craig David and many more.”

A spokesperson for Dreamland Margate added: “We are delighted that LN-Gaiety has become the new owner of Dreamland in Margate. The acquisition ensures the legendary venue can carry on providing world class entertainment for people of all ages.”

Dreamland Margate reopened in 2015 and expanded in 2017. In addition to the amusement park and a number of other attractions, there is a 1,500-capacity music venue – Hall by The Sea. Live music is also featured at the park’s open-air venue, which can hold over 6,000 guests.

Earlier this year, Dreamland Margate extended its partnership with AEG’s AXS ticket platform.
