For the first time, a dedicated site to access hospitality packages for the Paris Olympic Games has launched in China.

The move is the result of a collaboration between On Location – the official hospitality provider for Paris 2024 – and Fliggy, an online travel platform owned by Alibaba Group. The Olympic Games Paris 2024 Hospitality eCommerce store on Fliggy’s platform will showcase a series of packages and hospitality experiences from On Location.

On Location has created packages with tickets to sporting sessions such as table tennis, badminton, basketball, diving and more, paired with four- and five-star hotels.

The company will also be offering a limited number of luxury packages to the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony.

It will be the first time the ceremony has not been held in a stadium, and will instead take place along 6km of the Seine River, with the parade passing historic French landmarks.

The attendance plan for the Opening Ceremony was recently scaled back, with roughly 300,000 able to see the world’s athletes in the French capital.

Hospitality guests will be able to view the ceremony from vantage points via different packages such as the Bridge 360 package, which enable attendees to watch from the Pont de l’Alma bridge. The Riverside packages will allow guests to have access to exclusive hospitality experiences operated by On Location in central Paris, before viewing the Opening Ceremony parade from grandstand seating on the banks of the river.

“We are thrilled to be able to bring our world-class hospitality offering to so many fans in China wanting to attend the Olympic Games Paris 2024 through this unique partnership with Fliggy,” said Michael Tonge, senior vice-president of global sales at On Location. “We have developed tailored packages for fans to experience history-making sporting events combined with luxury food and beverage and once-in-a-lifetime hospitality experiences in and around Paris.

“All of our offers combine tickets to sporting sessions and showcase the city’s world-renowned culture and cuisine in order to deliver unforgettable experiences to fans. We are extremely proud of our unique partnership with Fliggy to offer packages to the Chinese market and are looking forward to welcoming Olympic fans from China to Paris in 2024.”

Zhuang Zhuoran, chief executive of Fliggy, added: “The demand for personalised travel and hospitality experiences has become a prevailing trend in China’s consumer market. Using Paris 2024 as a starting point, we at Fliggy look forward to collaborating closely with On Location to integrate unique, ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ moments with the scenery, culture, and authentic way of life in each destination. This will enable travellers to uncover the beautiful diversity of humanity during their journeys, opening up their imagination to what travel can truly be.”

A variety of hospitality packages are already available to purchase via the Olympic Games Paris 2024 Hospitality flagship store on the Fliggy platform, with more packages to be added in the coming months.
