Madrid’s WiZink Center has joined the European Arenas Association (EAA) as a new member.

Announced at the Spring General Meeting hosted at the Accor Arena in Paris, the addition of the WiZink Center takes the total number of members to 38 venues across 19 countries.

“We continue to follow our policy to embrace new members in order to build the association and take it forward to face new market challenges,” said EAA president Olivier Toth.

“WiZink’s presence is further proof of our qualitative and inclusive expansion policy, and we look forward to further developing our activity across the key pillars of knowledge-sharing, networking and representation on behalf of all our members.”

The venue has a maximum capacity of 17,453 and hosted more than 200 events last year, welcoming over two million visitors.

“We are glad to be part of the EAA and to be able to share experiences and knowledge

with our fellow members from now and on,” added Manuel Saucedo, WiZink Center chief executive.

“We will be enhancing the venue’s role in the Worldwide events industry. Belonging to this Association is a new step for Madrid’s WiZink Center in our international strategy, something that we are very proud of and that reinforces us as one of the most important venues in the world.”
