England Rugby Travel to drive GB’s World Cup in Japan

The Rugby Football Union’s (RFU’s) travel company England Rugby Travel has been named Great Britain’s travel agent for Rugby World Cup 2019 in Japan.

The deal will see England Rugby Travel operate official travel and ticket packages, with the rights to market, promote and sell a range of bundles for the tournament.

The World Cup runs from September 2019 to November of the same year. England Rugby Travel has operated official travel programmes in the UK since it was established in 2005.

England Rugby Travel chairman, and chief commercial officer at the RFU, Simon Massie Taylor said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been appointed as the exclusive Official Travel Agent in Great Britain for the forthcoming Rugby World Cup 2019. Having operated at previous tournaments in 2007, 2011 and 2015.

“We know that Japan will be a very popular destination with our supporters who will not only have access to official ticketed travel packages offered by England Rugby Travel, but also the experience, credibility and peace of mind of travelling with England Rugby.”

The travel agent will offer a range of official travel packages, including international flights, accommodation, match tickets and events in early spring 2018. It also offers England supporters the opportunity to follow England in the pool and knock out stages of the tournament.
