Neon lights up free venue resale

Resale solution Neon has launched its free-to-offer fully managed service for venues and festivals.

Neon said its solution is available to organisations that “want to offer their customers a safe and straight-forward resale option, but don’t have the time, people or tech”.

The platform, which has been in trials with a number of large and small venues since its launch late in 2017, allows venues, festivals and event teams a stand-alone resale service for their customers, whilst retaining control of other aspects.

Since every ticket listing must first be approved by the primary box office, the platform “guarantees no fake tickets or denial of entry.”

“The response we get from ticket teams and promoters is always massively positive,” said Neon founder and chief executive Dan Eastmond. “But we recognise that some organisations simply don’t have the capacity to bring their resale offer in-house. So we said ‘we can do that!’”

Neon claims to be able to get any venue, festival or event ready to go live within 48 hours, with the 50/50 option handling all listing requests and approvals, and its fully managed option running the whole process from start to finish.
