Justickets owner Qube Cinema aiming for global growth

Qube Cinema is targeting global expansion through its India-facing Justickets online movie ticketing platform.

Justickets is used by thousands of screens and its flexible and scalable service has sold millions of tickets in India.

Justickets includes the Assisted Bookings feature, which allows users to book tickets for their favourite movie months before sales open.

Cheers, a consumer-oriented service, can be incorporated into any website to allow moviegoers to book a custom greeting to be played in a specific show of a movie. It provides multiple categories of greetings such as birthdays, anniversaries, declarations of love and more. Users can preview their greetings before Cheers automatically schedules it.

US-based Qube Cinema is pushing its global ambitions at the CineEurope event in Barcelona, Spain. With the online movie ticketing market estimated at $14bn (£11bn/€12.5bn) in 2017 and expected to reach $30.54bn by 2022, Qube believes it can play a role in growth across the world.

Harsh Rohatgi, chief executive of Justickets, said: “We are excited to offer Justickets and Cheers as hosted services to cinema chains globally and look forward to implementing our learnings from the Indian market.

“With our incisive understanding of the entertainment needs of users, we are now committed to transforming the online ticketing experience globally.”
