KPOP.FLEX to entertain fans globally through live stream

KPOP.FLEX, the K-pop festival set to be held in Frankfurt, will entertain fans all over the world with a 90-minute live-stream of some of the top-billed acts.

Taking place at Frankfurt’s Deutsche Bank Park in May, the festival is set to be live-streamed and will cater to different time zones including East Asia and the US.

The stream will feature performances from artists such as EXO’s Kai, Monsta X, ENHYPEN and Mamamoo and behind-the-scenes action from the event. Fans will be able to join friends in private chats to discuss the event or participate in fandom-specific group chats (pictured).

More than 63,000 tickets have been snapped up for the event, and the Saturday has entirely sold out. In February, organisers K-Pop Europa (a partnership between live events companies Live Company Group and Explorado Group), PK Events and Korean broadcaster SBS Television Network announced that a second date had been added due to high demand.

Organisers are partnering with digital live platform Doors to produce an interactive edition of a South Korea-exclusive 90-minute TV special produced by SBS. The stream can be accessed globally, apart from South Korea, and tickets for the live stream can be purchased now.

David Ciclitira, founder and chairman of Live Company Group, said: “We are very proud to be working with SBS and Doors to bring our incredible KPOP.FLEX performances to global audiences. With our mission to celebrate K-pop across the world, we’re delighted to offer the KPOP.FLEX experiences to fans both at the festival and within their own homes.”

Mark Cranwell, chief content officer of Doors, added: “K-pop has seen an astonishing global ascent, and we’re thrilled to stream the KPOP.FLEX festival, providing front row access to fans globally. It’s an incredible array of K-pop’s very best performers and will be an event never to forget.”
