Tickets for the National Football League’s (NFL) regular season game in the German city of Frankfurt sold out in just 15 minutes.

The Miami Dolphins will face off against the Kansas City Chiefs at Deutsche Bank Park on November 5.

Game tickets went on sale on Tuesday morning and sold out within 15 minutes according to Sports Illustrated, leaving many German fans disappointed.

Some fans attempting to purchase tickets on Ticketmaster were met with a message informing them that over one million people were ahead of them in the virtual queue.

The stadium has a maximum capacity of 51,500, but this will be reduced to 48,000 for the NFL game.

The match will be the second NFL regular season game to take place in Germany. The NFL staged its first game in the country last year, when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Seattle Seahawks 21–16 in front of 69,811 fans at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

A third regular season game will take place in the week after the Dolphins-Chiefs matchup. The New England Patriots will take on the Indianapolis Colts at Deutsche Bank Park on 12 November.
