Telecommunications company Orange, along with its technology partner Ericsson, is set to offer Mad Cool Festival attendees an immersive experience.

Orange will use Mad Cool Festival, which takes place in Madrid from July 6 – 8, to showcase new technology and offer guests an immersive experience through virtual reality glasses and panoramic images of the event.

Fans will be able to experience the event both in real-time and through virtual reality from optimum viewpoints, as if they were on stage with their favourite artist.

The panoramic views will also be projected on the video wall of the Orange stand so that all attendees can enjoy the views.

Sonia Rico, director of brand and communication at Orange, said: “One more year, we want to celebrate this reunion by guaranteeing the best connectivity, both for the public and for the organisers, through our state-of-the-art networks. In addition, thanks to our network and virtual reality, we will offer a unique experience to the attendees, thanks to the union of the digital and the human, which we hope will be unforgettable.”

Tomás Alonso, director of marketing and communication at Ericsson Iberia, added: “As Orange’s technological partners, we are very happy to be part of this milestone that allows us to enjoy entertainment and culture in a much richer and more sustainable way.

“The advanced capabilities of the standalone 5G technology enabled on the Orange network will mark the evolution of the experiences of people who will be able to enjoy spectacular interactive and immersive services.”

Mad Cool recently revealed its new 2023 location in the Spanish capital’s Villaverde District, with the festival set to welcome performances from the likes of The 1975, Robbie Williams and Liam Gallagher.
