Glastonbury resale tickets will be in very limited supply as organisers witnessed the highest-ever percentage of festival-goers pay for their tickets in full.

In a post on Instagram, Emily Eavis announced that there would be a “very limited” number of returned tickets that will be placed on sale later this month.

The UK’s flagship festival offers a number of tickets for resale depending on how many people do not pay the full amount after paying their initial deposit.

Tickets for the festival, which takes place on Worthy Farm in Somerset, went on sale in November last year and sold out within an hour.

The post from Eavis said: “Just heard that we had our highest percentage of ticket balances paid ever! Incredible. Thanks so much everyone. There will be a resale of the (very limited) returned tickets later this month. Info to follow on that.”

According to an article from the BBC, resale tickets sold out in just seven minutes last year.

Last month, Glastonbury released a report that demonstrated its positive economic impact on both the local area, and the rest of the UK.
