Pre-sale tickets for several matches featuring India at the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 have sold out in minutes.
The tickets went on sale yesterday (Thursday) for India vs Australia, India vs Bangladesh and India vs Afghanistan through BookMyShow.
A day prior, pre-sale tickets for two of India’s warm-up matches also went on sale, with India vs England selling out within hours, but tickets for the warm-up game against the Netherlands faced a slower uptake, according to reports.
However, some fans were left disappointed by long queues and voiced their frustrations at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and BookMyShow.

It was not all bad though, with lucky fans sharing their happiness at securing tickets despite being shown a wait time of up to 20 hours at 20:01; tickets went on sale in phases beginning at 20:00.
Tickets went on sale for non-India matches last month, with more tickets for matches featuring the host nation to be placed on sale on Sunday.
The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup will take place across 12 venues in India and will feature 58 matches.
The tournament will run from October 5 until November 19.
