Vivaticket is a provider of integrated ticketing software solutions for the leisure, entertainment, sport, culture and trade show industries, while Impronta is a Spanish ticketing supplier with a scalable ticketing and payment solution. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Established in 1992, Impronta boasts more than 1,200 operational locations and 8,200 physical points. The deal will also include Impronta’s affiliated companies: Servicios de Ticketing Instanticket, Pay Freely Espana, Iniciativas Iberoamericanas and Impronta Mexico.

“We are delighted to announce the acquisition of Impronta Soluciones, as a continuation of our international growth,” said Silvano Taiani, chief executive of Vivaticket. “While this acquisition will expand the growth of Vivaticket in Spain – together, we look forward to entering new geographies and verticals through our shared objectives. We are happy to be welcoming the Impronta team to Vivaticket and look forward to our continued collaboration.”

Vivaticket was founded in 1999 and currently operates in 52 countries with 19 offices globally.

Alejandro Santiago, co-founder and CEO of Impronta Soluciones, added: “Vivaticket’s customer-oriented software solutions and impressive and entrepreneurial management team made it the ideal partner to accelerate the growth of Impronta. As we look to scale our solutions globally, Vivaticket’s experience and management team was the perfect choice for us for this new phase.”

While Impronta is a specialist in theatres and circus, it has also expanded its market towards music after launching in Mexico. It sells more than 17 million tickets a year and has worked with venues and organisers including SOM Produce, Productores de Sonrisas, Grammy Latin Awards, Teatros del Canal Madrid and more.
