Loket boss says firm ticketed 90% of events in Indonesia in 2018

Indonesian event management and technology firm Loket claims to have provided ticketing for between 85 and 90 per cent of the Asian country’s major events in 2018.

Loket, which was acquired by ride-hailing firm Go-Jek and renamed Go-Tix in 2017, reported that last year the firm managed more than 5,000 events and collaborated with more than 4,000 event organisers.

Ario Adimas, vice-president of marketing at Loket, said, according to Bisnis.com: “With the enthusiasm that everyone can become an event creator, Loket also encourages event creators of various scales to be able to manage their events optimally through various end-to-end products, segments, distribution channels and services , including one through sharing activities – knowledge through community.

“Thus, the event organiser industry can continue to grow positively and contribute to the national economy.”

Adimas added that the positive growth of the industry was linked to the growth of the millennial generation, aged 20-35 years old, which reportedly reached 63 million as the largest consumer of the entertainment industry in 2018.

Adimas added: “Based on analysis of Loket, the growth potential of the event sector this year will be higher than last year. This is driven by several factors, one of which technological innovation will facilitate the event creator in planning and organising the event in a more professional manner.”

He also said that the ticket management system was the key to the success of organising events from the smallest scale to bigger events.
