Martin Haigh (pictured left) is stepping down as SVP of Ticketmaster Asia to return to the UK and pursue new opportunities. Haigh oversaw the development of TM’s growing presence in Asia including the acquisition of Taiwan’s Tixcraft and the foothold in Singapore via the deal to ticket Singapore Sports Hub.
He said: “It’s been an honour to lead Ticketmaster in Asia and to lay the solid foundations for expansion across the continent – and I am grateful for the trust and support of Alan Ridgeway and Paul Antonio on the journey.”
As reported in TheTicketingBusiness, TM Asia will now be led by Chad Phillips (formerly of Apactix) in Singapore, supported by KT Chiu (the founder of Tixcraft) through Ticketmaster Taiwan.
Richard Harris (pictured right) has been appointed as the head of ticketing, hospitality and marketing at Two Circles, a sports marketing agency that uses data to grow direct relationships between sports and fans.
Prior to joining Two Circles, Harris was the head of ticketing, membership and new events at Rugby Football Union (RFU) for more than four years. He was also the head of ticketing and responsible for the delivery of the ticketing strategy, sales and operation for the Rugby World Cup in England in 2015.
Áron Farkas (pictured right centre) has been named ticketing manager at Sziget Cultural Management. Prior to this role, he worked as the international sales coordinator for the company, which organises one of largest music and cultural festivals in Europe.
Falk Eller (pictured left centre)has started a new role as director of ticketing and hospitality at FIFA, the governing body of football. He steps into the role after more than nine years with FIFA, holding several different roles, including most recently head of ticketing.
Sophie Roberts has become the latest new member of the team at UTA’s London office. She joins the agency from 13 Artists in Brighton where she worked as an agent. During this time, Roberts worked on tours for clients such as Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys, Bloc Party, Blossoms, These New Puritans, Interpol and Gaz Coombes.
