Sydney’s Accor Stadium has predicted that 400,000 people will attend its upcoming major headline events.
More than 180,000 people are expected to attend two Ed Sheeran concerts on February 24 and 25 alone.
Early February also saw the stadium hold two concerts from band Red Hot Chili Peppers, with support from rapper Post Malone.
British artist Harry Styles is also set to perform at Accor Stadium in March, with a second show having been added due to demand for tickets.
The 83,500-capacity Accor Stadium is set to host five matches of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup later this year. It was announced last month that the stadium will hold Australia’s opening game against the Republic of Ireland on July 20, before hosting the World Cup Final on August 20.
Accor Pacific chief executive Sarah Derry said: “We love giving people special experiences at Accor Stadium. We are thrilled that fans and our loyalty members, along with interstate and international visitors, are able to experience fantastic sporting and entertainment events.
“Accor Stadium is a great demonstration of our support for tourism, sport and entertainment. We are so proud of this partnership, which is an investment in experiences that bring people together, from world-class concerts, to sporting and family events.”
