BookMyShow says its recently launched enterprise B2B2C SaaS ticketing platform can transform the attractions and events landscape across South East Asia.

Bigtix is already live in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, and has been utilised by this month’s Formula 1’s Singapore Grand Prix following a successful debut in 2022.

The service has been designed to provide operators with white-labelled control of their own ticketing, interface to value-added tools and allows collaborating with channel partners.

BookMyShow said the technology is highly resilient, scalable and offers great agility in responding to changing business needs. Bigtix provides an end-to-end solution from touch screen Point-of-Sale (POS), a content management backend for managing product information, pricing, agents and promotions, to an intuitive frontend with white labelling capabilities.

Kenneth Tan, chief executive of BookMyShow SEA, said: “Bigtix, which also powers the B2C sites of BookMyShow Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, was built from more than 20 years of industry experience, coupled with clients’ discussions and research.

“We believe the future will see more organisers and event promoters wanting control of their own branded ticketing and collaborate with different kinds of distributors than just traditional ticketing agents. To that effect, we are preparing for credible change through a platform that truly empowers our clients as also consumers of entertainment across the region.”

As well as the Singapore Grand Prix, Bigtix has also been used by Gardens by the Bay Singapore, and arts and theatre companies like LOL Asia, Dream Academy and The Theatre Practice. In music and entertainment, it has been the system platform for many Bali beach clubs such as KU DE TA and Desa Potato Head and festivals such as One Love Asia Festival.

Adam Firth, executive director of the Singapore Grand Prix, said: “Singapore Grand Prix changed ticketing service providers in early-2022, which was particularly challenging given the fluidity of changes in Covid-19 regulations at the time. We needed a provider that enabled us to be nimble, while also being stable. Added to the challenge was an unprecedented demand as we went on to have a record attendance exceeding 300,000 patrons.

“BookMyShow was critical to the overwhelmingly positive event experience of our fans and I look forward to working together to continue raising the bar in 2023 and beyond.”
