Theatre digital twin technology specialist Preevue and Seats.io, a provider of interactive seating chart software, have formed a collaborative partnership to bring together ‘view from a seat’ imaging technology and seating chart capabilities.
The partnership will see Preevue’s 3D LiDAR scanning technology integrated with Seat.io’s seating chart software, allowing customers to view accurate, real-time visuals from selected seats.
Ticketing and event technology platforms will benefit from the integration, as it offers an opportunity to enhance services and improve user experience.
“We notice from our customers an increased demand for our current View From Your Seat functionality,” said Ben Verbeken, chief executive of Seats.io.
“Partnering with Preevue’s will provide our customers with the ability to show highly accurate 3D images to the ticket buyer, thus enabling them to have a vastly superior ticketing purchase experience. This will undoubtedly drive up conversion for ticketing platforms using the combined solution.”

Last summer, Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) and Preevue expanded the ‘View from Seat’ service to all UK ATG venues, after initially introducing the feature at select shows.
