TikTok signs up AXS for in-platform ticket purchasing

TikTok has partnered with ticketing platform AXS to offer fans a new way to discover and purchase tickets for live events. 

The feature is live on the social media platform in markets such as the US, UK, Sweden and Australia. Any Certified Artists on TikTok can use the in-app ticketing feature to promote their AXS live dates.

Music fans will be able to discover and buy tickets for events through AXS directly within the TikTok platform with just a few clicks.

Michael Kümmerle, TikTok’s global music partnership development lead, said: “TikTok’s partnership with AXS allows us to connect millions of users with legendary artists, venues, and festivals, and allows artists to promote their live dates and reach their audience in a whole new way.”

Last year, TikTok and Ticketmaster expanded their partnership to more than 20 new markets, following successful beta testing in the US in 2022. Similarly to the new AXS partnership, fans have been able to purchase tickets to live music events through Ticketmaster within the TikTok platform.

TikTok is now also an official discovery partner in the AXS Anywhere programme, along with streaming platform Spotify, discovering service Bandsintown and more. AXS Anywhere enables venues, artists and partners to drive additional sales and revenue by reaching fans where they discover events with targeted ticket offers and experiences.
