Promoters AEG Presents and BookMyShow are set to bring Ed Sheeran’s ‘Mathematics’ tour to India, as part of the British artist’s Asia stint.

The India concert will be held at Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai on March 16, with support from singer-songwriter Calum Scott.

It will be the first time since 2017 that Sheeran has played in India, after last performing in the country with the Divide Tour.

Sheeran’s announcement of the Asia tour dates will also mark the first time he has toured in the region since 2019.

The singer will hold a total of nine concerts across Asia between January and March next year, including two shows in Japan, and single concerts in Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia, before heading to Indonesia, the Philippines and finishing off in India.

Pre-sale tickets for the Mumbai show will go on sale for Kotak credit card-holders on October 25 via BookMyShow, while the general onsale will begin on October via BookMyShow and Sheeran’s website.

The ‘Mathematics’ tour has continued to break records since launching in April last year. Over the summer, as part of the US leg, Sheeran broke attendance records at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, as well as Seattle’s Lumen Field.

Both stadiums welcomed upwards of 70,000 guests.
