Venues Canberra has opted to renew its already decade-long partnership with Ticketek, which will continue to provide the state management and operating organisation with its ticketing, technology data and insight solutions.

Venues Canberra operates a number of ACT Government (Australian Capital Territory) venues, including GIO Stadium and Manuka Oval. Stadia across the state play host to some of the country’s biggest names in sport including the Canberra Raiders, the ACT Brumbies, Greater Western Sydney Giants, Sydney Thunder and international cricket fixtures.

The partnership between Ticketek and Venues Canberra will see customers benefit from a mobile-first solution that utilises NFC contactless ‘tap n’ go’ entry at GIO Stadium and Manuka Oval.

Geoff Jones, chief executive of Ticketek owner TEG Group, said: “Over the last decade our relationship with Venues Canberra has gone from strength to strength and we could not be more delighted to renew our partnership to ticket several of the ACT’s largest venues.”

Additionally, Venues Canberra will continue to access TEG’s data insights and marketing research platform Ovation, which allows partners to better understand their audiences and tailor future offerings.

Matt Elkins, executive brand manager for Venues Canberra, added: “For well over a decade Ticketek have been committed to Venues Canberra and the Canberra market.

“We are delighted that they will continue to partner with us, our hirers, the people of Canberra and the region for a further five years to provide significant investment to the ticketing purchase experience and the entry infrastructure at our venues, which will no doubt enhance the customer event experience.”
