Kolkata-headquartered multi-vendor delivery app Odroo has been named as a partial ticketing partner for the remainder of the Indian Premier League season, after venturing into the realm of major event ticketing for the first time.

The IPL final is set to take place on May 26, with Odroo offering tickets for the last scheduled matches over the next couple of weeks.

Odroo’s announcement of its partnership with the IPL coincided with its launch of ticketing services, welcoming traffic of more than eight million visits in 16 hours.

This initially caused the app to crash, with Odroo directing cricket fans towards manual booking or utilising the UPI payment option through the company’s website and app.

Tickets are now on sale for Saturday’s clash between the Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians.

Aside from cricket, Odroo will sell tickets for a range of events, including live music performances.
