Stay22 joins forces with discovery platform TIX

Event and travel technology firm Stay22 has teamed up with the global live entertainment discovery platform TIX to help users find the best prices for events and event travel.

Through the partnership, an individual can purchase authorised tickets for an event via the TIX platform and later manage their accommodation and itinerary through Stay22.

The Montreal-based startup — which provides a venue-centric, map-based solution that helps ticket buyers find accommodation, parking, and restaurants ahead of an event — offers more than 60 million bookable listings ranging from hotels, rentals & Airbnbs, in over 220 countries and territories.

Andrew Lockhead, Stay22’s chief executive and co-founder, said: “Both TIX and we at Stay22 understand that for an individual to have the best experience possible, they need to have the opportunity to choose the best option for them.

“Our job is to offer them the superior deals and the maximum information so that they have the opportunity to do this. This is exactly what we are achieving through this partnership. Giving you, the user, the best choices: ticketing prices, accommodation, restaurants near your event, parking… all that and more. So that you can visualise your entire experience and select the option that excites you the most within your budget.”

Australian-based TIX, which is currently live in 14 cities across eight countries, is a discovery platform that lists tickets from authorised primary ticketing vendors.

Sheila Moloney, chief executive at TIX, added: “TIX is excited to be partnering with Stay22. This partnership further strengthens our mission of delivering a trusted platform to users to discover real-time inventory of some of the world’s biggest shows, events, tours and attractions. We’re delighted to be adding travel accommodation to our offering.”

Earlier this month, Stay22 launched a new partner platform called The Hub to permit partners to carry out all of their activity from the same place.

Stay22 was introduced to TIX during TheTicketingBusiness Asia Forum in October 2019.
