The organising committee for the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship has announced that single tickets will become available in mid-January, while VIP single tickets will be placed on sale next week.

The ice hockey tournament will take place in Czechia across the cities of Prague and Ostrava between May 10-26 next year. Games will be played at Prague’s 17,300-capacity O2 Arena and Ostrava’s 9,800-capacity Ostrava Arena.

Last month, organisers revealed that over 250,000 tickets had been snapped up during the first phase of ticket sales.

VIP packages and VIP single tickets will be released on December 5, and will include a seat, catering options and exclusive access to the arena. Prices will start at 4,390 CZK (£156/€180/$198).

“If you want to treat a family member or a friend to an unforgettable hockey experience, a VIP ticket could be one of the options,” said Martin Gremlica, manager of the 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship ticketing department. “At the moment, most home games are still available for purchase. It’s also a unique opportunity to secure tickets for the Czech team, not to mention one of the last chances.”

Single tickets will begin at 490 CZK, while family tickets will be available from 190 CZK for specific games.

Tickets for the preliminary round and VIP tickets for Ostrava Arena will be available through Ticketportal, while VIP tickets in Prague will be available through Ticketmaster.
